Hrafn Andrés Harðarson

About the author


Hrafn Andrés Harðarson was born in 1948. He studied library and information science and worked at a number of libraries, and also taught the subject at the University of Iceland. He is the town librarian of Kópavogur.

Hrafn has published poetry books and has translated poetry. His first book, Fyrrvera (roughly, Formerness), co-authored by Magnús Gestsson and Þórhallur Þórhallsson, was published in 1982, but his newest book is Vermsl (Warm Wellspring, 2008). Among his notable translations is a poetry book by Visma Belsevica, which appeared in Icelandic as Hafið Brennur (The Sea Burns).
