Hallfríður Ólafsdóttir

About the author

Hallfríður Ólafsdóttir is the lead flutist in the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and a flute teacher at the Reykjavík Music School. She is the author of children's book series about the mouse Maxímus Musicus, illustrated by the viola player Þórarinn Már Baldursson.

The books have enjoyed great popularity with the younger generation, and have been translated into German, English, Faeroese and Korean.
