It will take place for the 6th consecutive year in arthouse cinema Bíó Paradís in Reykjavik, Iceland on October 28-30, 2013.

The conference is a collaborative effort between Iceland's creative industries to create a platform for discussion about opportunities in the changing marketplace. YAIC aims to empower attendees with knowledge on how to capitalize in the fast changing digital distribution world by the sharing of knowledge across the various industries.

YAIC seeks to define new opportunities and business models in the digital space as well as looking into new consumer behaviour and marketing trends. The event prides itself on encouraging non-hierarchy networking as well as inviting an equal number of men and women to speak.

Since 2008, YAIC has successfully brought together artists, designers, musicians, filmmakers, games developers, writers, businesspeople and investors from across Iceland, Europe and North America.

Among speakers will be: Australian music legend Robert Foster, Kristen Harrison (The Curved House), Seth Jackson (Strange Thoughts), Julia Payne (the hub), Oliver Luckett (TheAudience), Ingi Rafn Sigurdsson (Karolina Fund) and Frosti Gnarr (Frosti Gnarr Studio, Grotta Zine) to join Iceland's international creative and digital conference.

This year's conference segues seamlessly into Iceland Airwaves, offering international visitors the perfect opportunity to meet some of the individuals and businesses that make Reykjavik one of the world's most creative cities.

For a limited time, discounted tickets are now on sale for just 15.000 ISK for international visitors to Iceland Airwaves as well as Iceland-based artists, creatives and small businesses. Further information found on YAIC webpage.

YAIC is hosted by Promote Iceland in partnership with the Icelandic Literature Center, Icelandic Art Center, Iceland Design Centre, Icelandic Film Centre, Icelandic Gaming Industry, Iceland Theatre Association, Iceland Music Export and Iceland Music Information Center.
