Nominations for the 2018 Icelandic Literary Prize

15 titles have been nominated for the 2018 Icelandic Literary Prize in three categories. The prize will be awarded by the President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, in January 2019.

On December 1st, the nominations of 15 titles for the Icelandic Literary Prize were announced at Kjarvalsstaðir - Reykjavík Art Museum. There were nominations in three categories; fiction, non-fiction and literature for children and young adults, with 5 nominations in each category. Below is a list of this year's nominated works in each category. The prize will be awarded by the President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, in January 2019.

Fiction - Nominated works:

 

  • Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir: Ungfrú Ísland. Publisher: Benedikt Publishing

  • Gerður Kristný: Sálumessa. Publisher: Mál og menning (Forlagið)

Non-Fiction - Nominated works:
