10 books are nominated for the Icelandic Literature each year. This year's nominees were announced on December 1 at the National Gallery of Iceland.

10 titles are nominated for the Icelandic Literature each year. This year's nominees were announced on December 1 at the National Gallery of Iceland. They are as follows:

Fiction/poetry:

Guðrún Eva Mínervudóttir: Allt með kossi vekur. Publisher: JPV

Hallgrímur Helgason: Konan við 1000°. Publisher: JPV

Jón Kalman Stefánsson: Hjarta mannsins. Publisher: Bjartur

Oddný Eir Ævarsdóttir: Jarðnæði. Publisher: Bjartur

Steinunn Sigurðardóttir: jójó. Publisher: Bjartur

 

Nonfiction:

Ármann Jakobsson and Þórður Ingi Guðjónsson: Morkinskinna, vol. I and II. Publisher: Hið íslenzka fornritafélag

Inga Elsa Bergþórsdóttir and Gísli Egill Hrafnsson: Góður matur, gott líf – í takt við árstíðirnar. Publisher: Vaka-Helgafell

The winners will be announced in late January or early February at Bessastaðir, the Presidential Residence. The President of Iceland hands out the prize.
