Nominations for the Icelandic Women's Literature Prize

Nominations for Fjöruverðlaunin, the Icelandic Women's Literature Prize, were announced on December 14.

Fiction/poetry:

Oddný Eir Ævarsdóttir: Jarðnæði

Steinunn Sigurðardóttir: Jójó

Sigríður Jónsdóttir: Kanil

 

Children's books:

Bryndís Björgvinsdóttir: Flugan sem stöðvaði stríðið

Margrét Örnólfsdóttir: Með heiminn í vasanum

Ragnheiður Gestsdóttir: Í gegnum glervegginn

 

Nonfiction:

Sigríður Víðis Jónsdóttir: Ríkisfang: Ekkert

Birna Lárusdóttir: Mannvist

Erla Hulda Halldórsdóttir: Nútímans konur

 

The prize has been awarded annually since 2007, when it was established to encourage and increase the visibility of literature by Icelandic women.
