“The old woman's face in the window contained a millennium of Greenland's history,” says the photographer Ragnar Axelsson. His newest book, called Last Days of the Arctic, is a collection of photographs taken in Greenland – stories of people who live on the edge of the habitable world, a portrait of a way of life that is now threatened by the changing climate.

This video finds Ragnar, or RAX, as he calls himself, discussing his many trips to Greenland, the hunters of the north and their fear of the future, and RAX's own dealings with his most famous model, the farmer Guðjón in Gerðarkot.
