“Roughly 70-80% of Iceland's annual book output is probably printed around this time of year,” says Jón Ómar Erlingsson, manager of the print company Oddi.

Oddi is a busy place these days, with all machines running full throttle to meet the Christmas deadlines. “It's a pleasure to go downtown after work and see all the books we've printed,” says Díana Hrönn Sigurfinnsdóttir, consultant. “In Oddi, there's a lot of accumulated experience and a sense of history. This is definitely the most fun part of the year.”
