New grants: Reader's Report Grants

15. August, 2019

Publishers and agents outside of Iceland can apply. Next application deadline is 16 September.

Icelandic Literature Center offers new grants, Reader's Report Grants, in order to promote Icelandic literature abroad and support its translation and publication worldwide.

Publishers and agents from outside Iceland can apply for a reader's report grant to get professional opinion on a book they are considering publishing; adult or children's/YA fiction or non-fiction books published in Iceland in Icelandic.

Applicants must state which books they are commissioning reports on, and who will be writing the report.

The reader's report should be send to the Icelandic Literature Center no later than 6 months after the evaluation.

Application deadline is annually on 15 February and 15 September (16 September this year).

Application forms are available online, four weeks before the deadline, and are being processed within 6 weeks.
