Nordic Cool 2013 and new Icelandic titles in English translation

Three Icelandic authors participated this week in the literature program of the Kennedy Center Nordic Cool 2013 international festival. Nordic Cool 2013 is a month-long festival of theater, dance, music, visual arts, literature, design, cuisine, and film to highlight the diverse cultures of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as well as the territories of Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Áland Islands.

Gerður Kristný in Poetic Expressions of Nordic Origins--Reflections Today and

Hallgrímur Helgason in Family – Secrets and Truths
