The winners of the 2013 Icelandic Literary Prize were Sjón, for the novel Mánasteinn (Moonstone), Andri Snær Magnason for Tímakistan (Timecasket) and Guðbjörg Kristjánsdóttir for Íslenska teiknibókin (The Icelandic Model Book). This year's prize will be handed out at the end of January by the president of Iceland at Bessastaðir. The prize money is one million ISK for each category.

At the same occasion, a jury commissioned by the Icelandic Association of Translators and Interpreters also announced the following five nominations for the Icelandic Translators' Prize 2014 which will be awarded by the president of Iceland at Gljúfrasteinn, former residence of Halldór Laxness, on April 23, 2015.![]() |
