Nobuyoshi Mori - Japanese Japanska

Ex-professor of the Department of Nordic Studies at Tokai University.

During my career I was teaching Norwegian language, Icelandic language and Nordic Mythology. I am working this year as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Asahi Culture Centre in Tokyo, teaching Icelandic and Norwegian. As a university student I majored in linguistics, Germanic and Slavic languages in Tokyo and in Oslo.

Shohei Akakura - Japanese Japanska

AKAKURA Shohei (b. 1991) is a Japanese translator, writer, and poet. He holds an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Iceland, as well as BAs in Icelandic as a Second Language from the University of Iceland and in Creative Writing and Criticism from Waseda University. His work focuses on exploring and discussing Icelandic literature and language for Japanese readers, and in addition to writing, he has been translating Icelandic literature into Japanese. He is also conducting scholarly research on Icelandic literature at the University of Iceland’s graduate program.
